Pre K - K: C is for Crocodiles, Cockatoos, and Camp!
Calling all ittle learners! Multisensory centers, storytelling, and short zoo walks (for little legs) will keep your young reader engaged all day.
1 - 3: Dem Bones: Learning about Vertebrates
This introduction to classification will include up close looks at animal skeletons, animal skulls, and live animal contact.
4 - 6: Cue the Color
Investigate the science behind leaf color change and discuss the ecology of our deciduous forest ecosystem.

November 7 & 8
Prek - K: Count on Fall
Investigate the colors and patterns of the fall, and learn about leaves through counting, sorting and matching.
1 - 3: Flight of the Butterflies
Learn about the amazing adventure of the monarch butterfly and discover what other animals make flights of their own.
4 - 6: Discover Raptors
Learn what makes birds of prey unique, and see some of our Zoo raptors up close!

December 19, 20 & 21
Prek - K: Snow Safari
Baby it's cold outside! Discover the wonders of winter, and explore the sights and sounds of the season.
1 - 3: Cool Cats
Snow, wind, and freezing temps are no problem for these fabulous felines. Chill out at the zoo and learn all about their amazing adaptations.
4 - 6: The Arctic Edge
Discover the challenges explorers face when learning about some of the world's harshest environments.

Scout Programs
Cub Scouts & Girl Scouts of all ages, with adults & tagalongs

The Louisville Zoo would like to welcome Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts of all ages to the Zoo! Take advantage of special pricing for your pack and visit various learning stations as you tour the Zoo. Learning stations will offer a variety of activities that relate to belt loops, pins and journeys. Cub Scouts & Girl Scouts of all ages can enjoy the Zoo while exploring ways to help protect our planet. All Cub Scouts & Girl Scouts will receive a one-of-a-kind Louisville Zoo participation patch!

Night Safari Programs
Join us for a unique overnight adventure that only the Zoo can provide. Louisville Zoo Night Safari programs offer the intimate experience of having the Zoo and our education team to yourselves for what will certainly prove to be an exciting night to remember. Students will participate in engaging activities, explore the Zoo after dark and go on a morning walk to see our animals rising for the day.

First Saturday of every month
Join us for this special program specifically designed for young minds! Each month, we'll explore a new topic and participate in activity-based learning to discover how little learners can make a big impact on our world! Each program will include circle time, a live animal presentation, and a short walk. Because of space limitations, each participant (adult and child) must register for this program in advance.

Breakfast with the Ghoul-imals
Dress up as your favorite "Ghoul" as we learn about the Zoo's "ghoulish" animals and have "ghoulish" treats for breakfast. A continental breakfast will be served at our MetaZoo. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

February 18
Breakfast with the Orangutans
Escape the winter blues with this delightful and delicious program. Families will be able to explore the world of orangutans through a dynamic keeper presentation while dining side-by-side with these magnificent creatures.
A continental breakfast will be served in the Islands Dayroom. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

March 18
Breakfast with the Bears
Bring your own Teddy Bear for this class. Learn together about Polar bears and Grizzly bears. Hands-on activities will take place along with a simple continental breakfast served in the Louisville Zoo's Glacier Run classroom. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
